Awaiting Atlas

Fun fact: Both Hailey and Taylor went to Liberty University the same time I did but the only reference I had was that she did beautiful photography work. I always admired it and loved her style. She kinda felt like someone I looked up to in photography and would try to watch how she styled people, etc. She probably doesn’t even know that haha. Then I moved to Colorado for five years and she actually moved there as well, documenting love throughout the Rockies and I continued to watch from my small corner as she took stunning photos. Next, we moved to Tennessee only to find out her and her family had as well about a couple of months before us.

When they asked for help in painting their basement we easily said yes since they lived only 10 minutes away from us. But another side note about Hailey - she’s fierce, and determined and painted probably half her house in the last three weeks of pregnancy ha. That girl took nesting to a whole different level.

Regardless to say, when she reached out asking about maternity photos I felt like I had won a prize. Which is so silly, I look up to her so much, so for her to want my photos felt like the biggest encouragement and compliment.

We spent the afternoon running around inside and out, chasing each other through the light and had so much fun. Complete with snacks and apple juice for precious Leo, and some of the most beautiful light leaks I’ve ever seen. Little Atlas has arrived now and you’ll be seeing his newborn photos oh so soon.

Enjoy :)
