Ken + Carlie
A beautiful day spent in Memphis, TN celebrating Ken and Carlie. My husband and I drove out to Memphis for this day and it could not have been a more beautiful day! But the day wouldn’t have started without a catastrophe.
Weston gets off work the night before and heads to pick up the lens I rented. When he calls me from the car saying, “baby - this lens is BEAUTIFUL!!” I knew something was wrong. The lens I rented is not that beautiful of a lens - however, it’s counterpart that’s for the upgraded mirrorless system is a beast of a lens. Somehow when ordering I didn’t even pay attention and ordered the wrong lens. At this point it’s 2 min before the store closes. I call them to find out they don’t even hold inventory in Brentwood. Wonderful. I’m crying and everything feels like a mess.
However, when calling the Memphis office she let me know that a guy named John would meet me in the morning to hand me the lens. Therefore, saving me $90 in overnight shipping and bringing it straight to me. Praise the Lord! We met him the morning of, got the lens and some coffee suggestions, and carried on our way.
We ended the night back at the couples home (been in the family for generation after generation) where they had planted a wild flower field with sunflowers and it was B E A U T I F U L. The weather was perfect, the cake was stunning, and we had the most beautiful golden light to conclude the evening. So thankful for the people I met while I was here and the start of a new adventure!
